I am so thankful to have been Diana & Sitou Jacksonville wedding photographer. They are my closest friends and it was a real pleasure to create memories for them. I have been behind the scene from the proposal (I know I missed it 🙁 I was in Italy that day) to finally the wedding day. It was emotional to see all the work they put in coming to life. We weren’t sure how two families coming from different part of the globe (Diana is from Belize and Sitou from Togo) would hang out and it was perfect! Everybody had fun and enjoyed the day. I don’t think they could have dreamt about a better day. I love you dearly my friends and I am so happy that you are now husband and wife!!

Here is the slideshow that summarize their day:

Henna & Andy had an american and Indian wedding Jacksonville. I want to start by saying that I was extremely happy to be their wedding photographer. Henna & Andy have been friends of mine for years and it was a joy to be able to record memories for them. I know that they will cherish them for years. If you have been in my studio downtown you have seen the giant black and white portrait of a beautiful couple that I have in the meeting room; that’s Henna & Andy!

Their wedding started with the American ceremony and the traditional clothes. Henna had a stunning white dress with red roses! For the second part, Henna & Andy switched clothes for the Indian attire. Most of the bridal party also changed their clothes. The bridesmaids had colorful Indian dresses 🙂 I can’t even describe Henna & Andy because their dark red/gold Indian clothes were simply stunning.

Look at the slideshow teaser below:

Rosana & Tim Club Continental wedding was beautiful. Rosana and Tim are my dear friend. I have met Rosana more than 8 years ago when I arrived in Florida from Switzerland. We have been close friends since. I was so happy for her when I met Tim for the first time! It was very emotional for me to photograph their wedding 🙂

Club Continental in Orange Park is a beautiful venue for a wedding. It’s such a pleasure to take pictures there.

Arshiya & Furquan’s Indian wedding at Club Continental in Orange but was incredible. I still can’t think of a more colorful and friendly wedding. I am in love with Arshiya dress! If you know me you know that I love orange and her dress was dark and light orange!

When Arshiya asked me to be their wedding photographer she knew that I had never done an Indian wedding. She took time to explain the details and even showed me some video. I did some research too by myself. Let’s say that it was more intense than anything I have never photograph but I loved it!!!! Arshiya and Furquan’s family and guests were so welcoming; we had an amazing time photographing the wedding. And… let’s don’t forget the food; it was delicious!

As destination wedding photographer it’s always challenging when the wedding happens in a country I don’t speak the language. Jennifer and Shinji’s wedding was in Fukuoka, Japan. I speak 3 languages and can understand 2 more but I have no clue about Japanese! I had multiple meetings with Jennifer and we talked about the timeline. I knew that she would put first the traditional white dress then switch to the kimono. What I didn’t realized is that the getting ready was very different to what we are used to in the United States.

When you book a venue in Japan you also book the dress, the kimono and all the clothes for the groom. They have multiples options that you can choose from. (I am talking here about Jennifer and Shinji’s wedding and I understand that it may different for other weddings). Jennifer decided for a beautiful long strapless white dress with a veil. She also had gloves as it’s a tradition in Japan; the bride needs gloves with the white dress. The hotel also helps with the getting ready. Two persons were in charge of Jennifer for the make-up, hair and the dressing and two other people were in charge of the groom. I didn’t realized that her family wouldn’t be there! It’s only the personal of the hotel and it this case, myself! The hotel wasn’t used to a photographer in the getting ready and didn’t understand why I wanted pictures of the shoes, bouquet, dress… but they were very nice about it and let me do what I wanted. You just have to remember that you can’t enter a room with shoes in Japan; you have to take them off. That made my work a little bit more challenging as I always come and go between the room where the bride is getting ready and different locations outside for the rings, dress, shoes but that’s also why I love being a destination wedding photographer!

destination wedding photographer from floridawedding destination japanThe flowers are also something that the hotel takes care of. Jennifer had different option and the hotel took care of ordering them.wedding in japanI really love her silver shoes!destination photographer in japangloves for the bridejapan destination wedding
