I am super excited to be part of the Bridal Fantasy Bridal Show next Sunday at Sawgrass Marriott, Ponte Vedra. It will be an amazing show with a RED CARPET! Models will feature their dresses on the red carpet and interact with people. You will be able to touch to feel the fabric of the dress and even try some of the accessories! I will be one of the photographers that will cover the event! I am a paparazzi for the day! I am so looking forward to showing you lots of pictures next week in a special blog post. But it would be even better for you to come and see for yourself!!! Of course, I will also have a table so you can come and discover my work and my collections. Plus I have an amazing offer for the show 🙂

In their August 8, 2013 blog post Jacksonville fl Wedding described the show as followed:

“We are taking a new approach to the runway,” says Fashion Stylist and Fashion Show Director, Beth Sullivan of Sei Bella Image Consultingj. “We wanted to take brides back in time with some classic looks that have been around forever, while having fun with the “Great Gatsby” movie. So, instead of a runway… we will have a RED CARPET! And, a chance for some big local designers, like Erin Healy, to showcase their fashion lines as well.

This is really something for everyone! We are calling it “Timeless Trends,” to pay respect to the newest addition of Jacksonville Wedding Styles Online Magazine coming out in August as well! And, it’s important we showcase more than gowns… ladies are packing for their honeymoons too!”

“This show promises to be an interactive experience for participants. “The models won’t be up close and personal!” says Sullivan. “They will be able to tell the brides where their looks came from and what booths to check out to get those looks!  This will make it an overall better and unique experience for our brides and vendors alike!”

This Bridal Fantasy Events have always been the leader in bridal entertainment, vendors and fashion! “We hope to continue this trend” Sullivan continues, “We want people to notice what makes our show so unique and special. This is definitely the wedding show for all Jacksonville fl brides to attend!”

Chico Lobos asked us to take his concert pictures while performing at the Clean Water Music Fest on August 10th, 2013 at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. It’s the second year that we record his performance at this festival. We were so impressed by how the festival grew this year!
All the founds that the festival makes are going to a charity, water, that builds fresh water wells in countries that don’t have access to clean water.

Chico was in Jacksonville only for a few days because he just finished a long tour through the country. You can see the details of his tour here and follow his page so you can discover the new dates he will put up soon! You don’t want to miss him; he is amazing!!!!

Here are some information about Chico that are coming from his own website (link here):

“Guitarist and composer Francisco “Chico” Lobos was born in Guatemala in 1981. At the age of 6, he discovered his passion for music through both the classical and electric guitar, perfecting his Spanish, Flamenco, and even Rock-and-Roll stylings.

Chico Lobos got his first big break touring Mexico on the backline of the Alan Parsons Project. Soon after, he was taking the southeast of the United States by storm as lead guitarist for the Strings of Fire. It was only a matter of time before Chico would step out on his own as a solo artist, releasing his first album, “Guitar Voices,” on December 7, 2010.

As an ASCAP affiliated composer, Chico Lobos is also working on television and film soundtracks, having collaborations with such big names as Denny Leroux of Storm of the Century Music and producer/engineer Richard Leigh Grice, to his name.”

I am so happy to have been chosen to do Claudia’s maternity pictures! I was their wedding photographer and now it’s time for the maternity pictures, we are all waiting on Natalia to arrive very soon 🙂 Claudia is 38 weeks pregnant and she is absolutely stunning! We had first scheduled the session for beginning-middle of July but we decided to push back because she wasn’t big enough for the pictures. Natalia is full term now and can arrive any day but the due date is the beginning of September and Claudia was telling me that she thinks that Natalia will wait.

The treaty Oak Park was the perfect location for the maternity pictures and we discover that the Oak is more than two centuries old! I met Claudia and Robbie seven years ago when I arrived in Jacksonville and we have been friends since. We met at the University of North Florida where we were all studying. Robbie is one of the few Americans that told me “I learned French at school” and can speak it almost fluently 🙂 Usually people are able to say their name and “comment ca va?” or the famous song “voulez-vous coucher avec moi?” lol!!

I want to say few words in Spanish as I know that not all Claudia’s family speak English and they will appreciate it:

Fue maravilloso tomar las fotografías de Claudia embarazada. Después haber tomado las fotos de la boda, ahora es el momento de esperar a Natalia. Estoy muy entusiasmada por conocer a Natalia!

Eva & Abdoul Jacksonville wedding was nothing but fantastic. The weather was perfect, it rained a little bit but only while we were inside for the reception and the light was gorgeous for the couple portrait! Eva did an amazing job with the decoration and all the details. I don’t know how she did all because she managed to organize their Jacksonville wedding and graduate from the University of North Florida the same week-end!! You will see that they had two different outfits; the second was is the typical African outfit. I will write a post especially about this later.

I met Abdoul at the English Language Program of the University of North Florida few years ago. We arrived in the United States at the same time to learn English and potentially study here. Both of us reached our goals and graduated from UNF last year! Abdoul and I also share the same native language: French!  It was a real pleasure to be part of their wedding day and being able to meet their friends and family.

I always love to share how my couples meet and if possible both versions. You will see that the story is similar but I love the small personal feelings that they introduce.

Eva’s version: Our first date was very interesting! He had introduced himself to a week before in the library by coming up to me and introducing himself then asking for my phone number. After we talked by texting, we agreed to meet at Starbuck’s. For starters, he did not pay for my coffee! I couldn’t believe it. After I ordered he did not even reach in his pocket to pay! After we sat down, he then began talking my head off. He talked almost the entire time. Maybe he was nervous, but in my head I said “Gosh this guy talks a lot”. I didn’t think that he would be my husband, but I certainly knew that we would be friends and I was intrigued. After that, we were inseparable and now he is about to be my husband!

Abdoul’s version: I was studying for a biology exam and looked over and something about her caught my attention. I knew she was the one and I was trying to figure out a way to get to know her. I watched her for a few minutes and then walked over and got her number. A week later we talked via text. What struck me is that the first thing she asked me was I a Christian. I really was attracted to the fact that she was so focused and seemed like the kind of woman I wanted. All I knew is that I wanted to be with her. We kept talking and decided to meet the next day on a Monday. We went to Starbuck’s and I didn’t pay for her coffee! She will never let me forget that and one day I will find a way to make it up to her.

I also want to address few sentence to Abdoul’s family especially to thank them for this amazing day. I know that they do not all speak English so I will write this part in French:

Mes chers,

When Brent contacted me to do his family pictures at Jacksonville Beach I immediately thought that he would probably be up to try something a little bit different at the end of the session. I always want to play more with sparkles during family sessions but we need to wait until it’s dark and most of the time families with smaller children cannot wait so long. I wanted to try to write “Congratulations” because it was also his graduation day from the University of North Florida (UNF)! We finally only were able to write “Congrats”. A huge thank you to Brent’s brother who helped us with the writing! We were lucky with the weather; it was a perfect evening with beautiful light and no wind (what is unusual for the beach in summer!). We even got pink sky that made me say that the picture looked photoshopped when I saw it in the back of my camera 🙂

I first met Brent at UNF when he was working for Osprey Productions (agency of Student Government) and I was President of the Photoclub. Brent was first Assistant Director then Director and he did a fantastic job for the campus. He also gave me countless opportunities to shoot concerts and I want to thank him for always having trust in me! I will blog about it with pictures later on so you can discover more about my concert’s images  but I had the opportunity to cover BOB, LMFAO, Rodney Atkins, Phil Vassar, Jessie James, Ludacris, Parachute and Secondhand Serenade, Billy Joel and more! Brent even recommended me to MTV Campus Invasion for being their photographer during their UNF show. I had the chance to cover their event that featured Jason Derulo and Jay Sean!! I worked for MTV!!

Brent just started his own company Promo Pug. He offers a full service promotional marketing for companies, businesses and organizations. Do not hesitate to hire him, he is extremely good!! And stay tuned for more collaboration between Promo Pug and Severine Photography!

These are gorgeous photos! I love the writing. You’re right about the weather here: It’s super finicky. But, it was beautiful for this shoot and this family is absolutely lovely. Brent is a wonderful guy and a great PR professional. Having worked with him myself, I can wholeheartedly endorse your statement of faith in him and his abilities.

Kudos to you for your wonderful work. And, congrats to Brent for graduating from UNF!ReplyCancel
