I want to write a blog on Megan’s pictures because it’s a perfect example of pictures of the bride that were taken the day of the wedding. I offer a bridal session to all of the my brides in our photography studio in downtown Jacksonville because I know that not all brides will have time and/or location to have amazing bridal pictures and I really want my brides to have beautiful bridal portraits.

The key to successful amazing bridal pictures done the same day is time. Megan was ready more than 4 hours before her ceremony and we had one hour on the schedule for pictures of only the bride. The pictures with the bridal party, formal pictures and first look were taken after and weren’t counted in this hour. It was just for her!

For Megan’s pictures we also had the chance to have the full wedding location just for us! The whole house was empty (the setting up was taking place later during the day) so we had countless location options for the pictures 🙂

Megan & Justin’s wedding at Phillippi Estate – Edson Keith Mansion Sarasota, Florida was fantastic and I am not sure how to start to talk about it!! Just to let you know, I have so many amazing pictures that I want to share with you that I decided to write not one but three blog posts about it! I want to take the opportunity to write about first look and bridal pictures so those posts will follow this week or next week 🙂

When Megan & Justin asked me to be their wedding photographer I was surprised and honored. Megan herself is a photographer (http://www.meganb-photography.com/) and has many photographer friends, so it was huge for me that she trusted me with her wedding pictures. To increase the challenge, two of the bridesmaids are photographer themselves, Jaime (https://www.facebook.com/jeasonphotography) and Cassandra (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cassandra-HC-Photography/177549079026322). I also have to add that Katrina Lathrop (https://www.facebook.com/KatrinaLathropPhotography) who was creating a stop motion of the wedding. We all knew each other before the wedding because we studied our BFA in photography together at UNF (with Dan too!). It was like a small photo club reunion, so much fun!!!

Megan & Justin’s wedding was incredibly beautiful. Megan thought about every details and it was such a pleasure to record their day. I couldn’t have dreamt about an easier job! Everything was so beautiful, I just had to take pictures of it!! The pictures on this post are in the order we took them. Because Megan & Justin decided for a first look (I will write about it later this week), we did all the formal pictures and bridal pictures before the ceremony. We even had time for few couples pictures and more than everything that gave us time when the light was perfect after the ceremony.

It was gorgeous last Sunday morning, we couldn’t have dreamt of a better sunrise for Lauren & Jacob’s engagement pictures! The sky kept changing color from red to orange to purple until we got a perfect blue sky. We decided to walk around Jacksonville Beach and work with different backdrops we could find on our way. We found the most beautiful locations, each of them different to provide unique background for the pictures. We even found a beautiful red heart! It seemed to have been drawn just for them 🙂

I remember Lauren telling me that Jacob wouldn’t resist too long but seriously he was perfect and never complained. We had so much fun! They were up for everything and it’s obvious when you look at them how much they love each other! We all finished wet because waves were big due to a tropical system far off coast and we didn’t realized that we were so deep in the water. But no worries the camera didn’t get wet everything else it doesn’t matter, it dries 🙂

We can’t wait for their wedding in November at Queen’s Harbor. It’s a beautiful location and we already know that it’s the perfect fit for Lauren & Jacob. We are looking forward to working with Kaley and her team!

Leave some love to Lauren & Jacob and write a comment at the bottom of the post 🙂

I just spent a few days with my husband at Cancun, Mexico and came back this week-end 🙂 It was amazing because it was our first vacation since I decided to open my studio in downtown Jacksonville. A little rest and fun were much needed!! We decided to go to the Club Med because it’s an all-inclusive club. The food and alcohol are included but also lots of sports, like water-skiing, windsurfing, sailing, circus, Bocce Ball, and more! I am a huge fan of sports during the vacation and it’s so much easier when they are already included in the price. The first two days the weather wasn’t great but still good enough to have fun water-skiing and sailing. On Wednesday, we went to visit Coba, a maya temple and Cenotes, natural underground pools. We climbed the temple even if it was raining! Half way I was so scared I almost went back but I decided that I had to do it so I went up and made it to the top! Cenotes are amazing underground pools. The water is clear but a little cold! The two last days, the weather was perfect and we spent our time between the aquatic sports 🙂

I am a Jacksonville professional photographer but I am originally from Switzerland in Europe and used to travel a lot. In Europe, it’s super easy to travel from country to country and I have been missing it. I can’t wait to have destination weddings!

It’s the time of the year to think about Holiday pictures again! Don’t hesitate and call today to reserve your time slot!

We decided this year that it would be better to offer the mini session at our downtown Jacksonville studio so you can have the choice between different backdrops and not having to worry about being hot, humid or getting rained on. We will have three different Holiday themed backdrops and also a regular plain backdrop that you can customized with props or/and clothes. We are offering a 15 minutes session and you’ll get 5 hand edited digital pictures. The pictures will be delivered through an online gallery called PASS. Through the gallery you have the option to download, share on social media like Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest, email as well as order prints. The prints cost $1.00 for a 4×6, $2.00 for a 5×7 and $4.00 for a 8×12. They are printed at the same professional lab that we use for our prints and are delivered directly to your home. We decided to not have only one day or one week-end but opening time slots every day for few mini sessions. Please contact us as soon as possible with the date you would like to reserve your time!

Before or after your session you will also have the option to look through our collection of Christmas cards. We are happy to offer more than…….. different templates. You can see some examples at the bottom of this blog post. The printed folded cards start at $70 for 24 cards.

Call 904.238.2035 to reserve your time slot or email us at info@severine-photography.com
