Bridal Pictures

I want to take a moment to explain why bridal pictures at the studio are so important.

Let’s take as example Eva’s pictures that you can discover below. Eva booked her wedding at a Bridal Show at the University of North Florida (UNF) and one of my gifts was a Bridal Session. She directly said that she wanted to keep it even if her fiance, Abdoul, was thinking about switching it for one more hour of wedding day coverage. She said that she wanted to have beautiful pictures of herself with her dress and that it was her gift. Abdoul agreed and we kept one hour for a session at our photography studio downtown Jacksonville.

One week before the session, Eva called me to ask if it was possible to have two outfits during the session. I agreed but was surprised because she never talked about having two dresses. A Saturday morning two weeks before the ceremony,  Eva arrived with her friend and Abdoul’s mother at the studio. She had a dress in a plastic but I couldn’t see a second one. I finally asked her and she explained that Abdoul’s mom wanted them to wear an African wedding outfit for the second part of the reception and that she wanted to take bridal pictures with this outfit too. Abdoul is from Ivory Coast and his mother came to the United States with typical African’s wedding attires. Abdoul’s mother explained me that it will not be the same outfit as the wedding day because it would be too long to change to the typical outfit during the reception. She took two different outfit for Eva. The one we would take pictures of was to be wear with painted tattoos that represent a lace shirt. The second one, the wedding day one was easier to put and did not necessitate many tattoos. The bridal session was a dream and we got many amazing pictures. I am so happy that we got those pictures because the day of Eva and Abdoul’s wedding they got late on the schedule and we did not have time for bridal photos. Eva put her dress five minutes before the ceremony. I wasn’t worried at all because I know that we already got all the pictures we needed.

It is so important for a bride, her fiance and their families to have amazing bridal pictures of her in her wedding dress and often during the wedding day the timeline gets a little bit late and we do not have enough time to create as many bridal pictures as we wish. During a studio session, we have plenty of time. The second important point is the light. In our photography studio downtown Jacksonville, we have total control over the light, backdrop, pose, … and we create beautiful pictures that the couples and their families will cherish forever.
